What she does

Anywhere there are children and a spare chair

  • Birthday parties

The classic. Anything from a handful of kids in the backyard up.

  • School fetes and fairs

Steady queue work — fast designs that still look brilliant.

  • Markets

Regular market days across the northside.

  • Sports club days

    Team colours, mascots, presentation days.

  • Weddings and family events

Something to keep the little guests busy through the speeches.

  • Community events

Council days, fundraisers, church and school holiday programs.

Her work

Painted freehand, on the day

Every one of these was painted by hand, on a wriggling child, at a real party.

A green dragon painted down a child's forearm, with white claws over the knuckles
Two small fists, one painted with a red and black spider, the other with a black bat

How it works

Three messages and it’s sorted

  1. Tell her about the party

Date, place, roughly how many faces and how long you need her. A text is easiest.

  2. She confirms and quotes

You get a price for the time you need before anything is locked in.

  3. She turns up and sets up

Chair, paints, mirror and everything else. You need a shaded spot and a power point is a bonus.

Before you book

The things parents ask

  • What do you need from us on the day?

A flat, shaded spot with room for a chair and a small table. Out of the wind if you can — it keeps the paint clean and the kids comfortable.

  • How long does each face take?

It depends on the design. A cheek design is quick; a full face with detail takes longer. Tell her how many children are coming and she will tell you how long to book.

  • What about sensitive skin?

Tell her about any allergies or skin conditions when you book, and she will work around them or patch test on the day.

  • Can the kids choose their own designs?

Yes. She brings a board to pick from, and she will have a go at anything reasonable a child asks for.

  • How far do you travel?

Redcliffe, the Brisbane northside and surrounds. If you are further out, ask — it is usually still a yes.

  • Do you do adults too?

Constantly. Halloween, costume parties, club nights and photoshoots — there is a whole page for it.
